Pulsed Media Support Boost

Support Boost is a Pulsed Media extra that gives one service's support tickets priority and adds AI credits with every payment, from 2.49 EUR a month. Even the smallest level adds 622,500 AI credits a month, enough for about 35 questions to Pikkumies, the AI helper that answers right inside a seedbox account.

More than half of all Pulsed Media support tickets get their first reply within an hour; the current figures are published live in the support statistics feed. Support Boost adds priority for the service a customer relies on most, and part of what it earns goes toward more support capacity for all customers.

How the priority works

The boost raises the priority of tickets about the boosted service by 10%, 25% or 100%. On tickets awaiting a reply from support, two free percentages can add to it: the account bonus (up to +30%) and the AI credit balance (up to +20%, with the conditions listed there). Priority sets the order in which open tickets are worked on. It does not set a response time, and the SLA policy applies to boosted and unboosted tickets alike.

Conditions

A ticket gets the boost when both of these hold:

  • The boosted service is selected as the ticket's related service, in any department. The Open a ticket button on a seedbox or storage box service page sets it.
  • The account that owns the service filed it.

The boost covers technical needs of that service: outages, slowness, errors, and setting things up or fixing them on it, including the setup work support does on request (see Väinämöinen (AI sysadmin)). Setup requests still count toward the daily limit on setup work per account. A boosted ticket about something else is answered in full, and the reply opens with: "This is not about the service, and this support boost is only for service specific technical needs." Like other priority bonuses, the boost can be withdrawn for abusive behaviour toward support.

On an account with an active Dragon-R plan, every ticket already carries extra ticket priority (Mushu +10%, Toruk +15%, Shenlong +20%, Temeraire +25%; see Dragon-R), and Support Boost adds its percentage on top of that. Accounts on the older Dragon plans also carry extra priority. The Dragon services themselves offer only the +100% level.

Billing

The boost follows the billing cycle of its service, and longer cycles are discounted.

Cycle +10% +25% +100% Discount

Quarterly 7.47 14.97 29.97 none

Biennial 53.78 107.78 215.78 10%
Triennial 76.19 152.69 305.69 15%

Prices in EUR, excluding VAT. It is chosen when a service is ordered and, on most plans, can be added later on the service's page in the client area, in the same place as extra disk, traffic or bandwidth. It is one list with No Extra as the default, so a service has one level at a time. The boost starts working within about 15 minutes of the payment. It is billed together with its service at every renewal; added in the middle of a period, the first invoice covers only the days left until the next due date. Adding or removing it on a service paid by PayPal automatic payment ends that automatic payment, and renewals then come as invoices to pay.

AI credits

Each Support Boost payment adds credits to the account's AI credit balance at multiplier 25, 50 or 100 for the three levels. The account bonus does not change them, and a refund takes them back. The credits are spent by Pikkumies, the AI helper inside a seedbox account, or by the customer's own AI key. In Pulsed Media's tests a Pikkumies question used about 18,000 credits on average on the default model, so the +10% level pays for about 35 such questions a month, about 3.5 times what an M1000 S at list price with no account bonus earns.

For the step-by-step ordering guide, see the knowledge base article What is Support Boost?. Support Boost is offered on current paid Pulsed Media plans, starting at 2.49 EUR a month; a service whose options do not list it is on a plan that cannot take it. See what each plan includes.
